A lifetime supply of . . .

This story reminded me of when I was planning my short course for Procter & Gamble:

The question in my mind was: should I take the consulting fee they offered or should I try to get a voucher for a lifetime supply of P&G products (assuming, of course, that such a voucher exists)?

Wouldn’t that just be the coolest thing, to go into the supermarket, fill up the cart with Tide and Pampers, then flash the P&G card?

P.S. On an unrelated note, this is just sad. Uncle Woody is spinning.

The late cartoonist Doug Marlette did a strip about a religious cult built on the teachings of Bazooka Joe, making me wonder if this ties into that whole Mayan calendar thing.

It WILL be sad to see Palooka Joe disappear; it’s not so much the comics that I liked but the little fortunes, wise aphorisms and soothsayings in the tiny print at the bottom of the cartoon.
