Did anyone else pop this open in a new tab for future reading and then when coming back to it later wonder why the hell they were reading about tennis?
The linked article is a great illustration of the thought that should go into priors:
“Coming into this match, Wawrinka was 4-19 against Djokovic (and 2-19 when facing the top-ranked player.) But that was a misleading stat.”
So `Beta(4, 19)` would be the obvious but wrong choice, eh?
