We are hiring a Staff Associate who will be supporting development projects related to the open-source, state-of-the-art, probabilistic programming language and Bayesian inference engine Stan, an open-source, state-of-the-art Bayesian inference engine. The incumbent will be responsible for software development/programming, and programming updates by bringing all models up to current stats and coding standards; work on Stan language and algorithms (C++); further develop Stan interfaces in Python or R; support research related to potential software development projects; web development for interacting Stan with the web and web-based documentation.

The Staff Associate must have training in computer science, statistics, or a related field, be knowledgeable in the following programs: C++ programming, R package development, or Python package development. Experience in web development and Parallel, distributed, and high-performance computing. The incumbent should have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as, excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
